Now, time for a quick hobbyist reality check: We do not recommend Grapewood for aquarium use. While it looks incredibly tempting to submerge, Grapewood is a much softer wood compared to heavy-duty hardwoods like Mopani or Malaysian Driftwood. When kept underwater long-term, it breaks down quickly, softens into mush, and can throw your water quality into a tailspin.
